Thiago de Lucena
I am an assistant professor in Economics at San Diego State University. Before joining SDSU I received a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Davis. My main concentration is Applied Microeconomics with research interests in Development Economics, Labor Economics, and Political Economy. I pay particular attention to issues affecting gender and racial minorities. In my Job Market Paper, I analyze the relationship between leadership and gender composition gaps on top positions in labor markets. As an educator, I strive to make economics relatable and accessible to students.
